I cut out pork so I was aware that a lot of things not only include pork and beef for flavoring purposes, etc. . . .there are also a lot of chemicals used to preserve and to lengthen the "shelf-life" of a product.

I didn't do mine for religous reasons moreso personal health reasons and I knew that it was best to look for foods that had the K to make sure that they were totally pork-free.

It's best not to look too closely at ingredients. You may find that you can't eat anything that has been processed at all. .
