Can we at least get a somewhat central location to make reservations?

It only seems to make sense that since ATL is so spread out that if we can't post a specific hotel. . .we can at least say downtown, north ATL, Buckhead. . .something to that affect so folks hotels aren't a 20-30 minute drive apart.

Can some one in the ATL area please call out the area of town that would be within reasonable driving distance of some/most activities?

I know it's sooooooooo far out (5 mos.) to be making a hotel reservation but could someone please humor this request. I've basically got ideas of where I'm going to be based on the people I plan to see when I'm down there but perhaps this could help other folks.

Well you can either stay:

Out by the airport i.e. Airport Hiton
Downtown Atlanta i.e. Marrietta Street Etc.
Peachtree/Buckhead - get ready to pay
Lenox Area - can find some reasonable
Out of Area - Like Dekalb Cty or something - requires cars

By the end of the day I will post a number of moderate centrally located hotels. I have the entire list since I am chairing our class reunion. We are staying at the Sheraton Galleria out Cobb Cty, but that would be too far to what's happening for you all. I'll get back.

I would suggest right downtown. It's centralized to all the clubs and it's not very expensive like Buckhead.

I am looking into:
Hawthorne Suites
and 2 different Farifield Inns.

They all have a free continental breakfast, pools, kitchens, beds and pull out couches so there can be about 4 in the room.

But I like Babygirl am getting close to having a house so we may a slumber party going on in the ATL!!!!

. . . still no information, huh?!?!?!?

Okay, let me switch gear a little bit here and ask a few questions.

1. Where did folks stay back in 2000?

2. What was the avg. amount of 'wait & travel time' involved when trying to get folks to meet up?
{I personally can't help but think that this facillitated & contributed to the "no planning" clause that seems to surround every Hushnic. . .I will never for the life of me understand why it is so hard to pick a date, time, place, restaurant, club, etc. . . .but's that besides the point}

3. Can the ATL fam please list the area of ATL in which they reside and/or what the anticipated travel time would be downtown Atlanta (which was one of the prospective locations thrown out there. . .)?

as I type. I should know something by end of the week. We are looking at the Hilton downtown and/or Embassy suites in Buckhead. Give me a min and should hear back from my hook ups.

Will folks be rooming together? If we do a suites style hotel there would be room for 4. Two on the pull out and 2 in the bed. How are you going to be rooming. I know there will be folks that want a room by themselves so let me know. I was looking into 5 rooms or suites. I figure that should cover every one. Let me know. I do not want to get a set of rooms on some ones employee rate and then have to back out at the last minute........YOU KNOW HOW WE DO!!!!! :upto:
