Dunkin Donuts

I gotta give it to Dunkin Donuts. In this time of everyone watching the carbs and vendors trying to offer lighter, heart health varieties, Dunkin Donuts is still saying, "Don't walk your ass through our door looking for health and nutrition, this is a donut shop dammit...full sugar, frosting, so cut your calories elsewhere!" This new thing, the latest commercial where the fancy coffee ain't enough, they have to drizzle caramel over the top of the foam. I haven't had one in ages, but I have to admire their sticking with what got them here, selling the classic donut, and the hole they punch out too.

In my area, Dunkin Donuts is so horrible, no one goes anymore. People order Krispy Kreme donuts from Chicago and sell them by the dozen for fundraising. They stand out in parking lots and sell stacks of sealed boxes. People are so donut starved, they sell out in minutes! I know because I saw someone at my drug store, and before I could pick up my prescription and drive over to her, she had nothing left!

People of the Middle Eastern persuasion have bought all the Dunkin Donuts in this town and the donuts they sell are horrendous! I bought one once that was so hard, I hit it against the counter and it sounded like a damn paper weight!

So.....I'm glad they are hanging in there, but I'll never go there again!

Now that's a thought. The founder is BU alumni, so it would be so easy to look him up, as soon as I get to work. Hmmmmm.....

and on some fronts it's damn near sacreligious to be caught at Dunkin Donuts! There is nothing better than passing a Krispie Kreme and seeing the "HOT" light on. Your car just gets a mind of it's own.

Back in elementary and highschool - that's all we sold, lol ten cents for one, lol you usually pissed your mom off cause you ate a whole box on the way home and she had to pay for that sucka, lol lol

I actually like Dunkin Donuts but I LOVE krispie Kreame! Give me that scalding hot bread rising in your stomach taking 2 years off your life ANYTIME, lol

Ooooh there is nothing like driving by and catching sight of the hot light and wheeling into Krispy Kreme!

there isn't one where I live but when I went to pick up my daughter in chicago, I saw Krispy kreme and as I got closer, I saw the hot light.....sorry I was late hun!!!

I bet a Krispy Kreme store, with the windows to see the donut making process would take off in the North Jersey area!

Funny, it would probably be run the Middle Easterners! They have some pizza joints and all the newstands...how come all the other "ethnics" can get their shit together but us? We don't even have the chicken joints!

Lawd Andre. They own the Churches all up in my hood and I was actually shocked. Uh they frying chicken! in an all black neighborhood! I don't hate on them though because we live in each and everyone of these places and we aren't putting our stakes down like we used to. The argument would take up the entire board - so I ain't even going there. Those of us that are doing - I applaud you, those of us who are supporting US - I applaud.

I mean really......is it a fair fight. And the funny thing is that I can not say that I have ever seen a Krispy Kreme ad. But Dunkin gotta keep up the advertising to remind folks they are still out there. Now if they really wanna bring us back........get a damn
