Hand Me Downs

Would you shop for yourself or your children at a thrift store...a good will....? I can remember when I was younger getting some good clothes from there.

OR

If somebody was giving away old clothes ... would you accept them?

YES

I've found that if you go to a Goodwill Store near a upperclass neighborhood the quality of the clothes is better.

I buy all my son's jeans from school there, and on good days I have even found Tommy Hilfiger, FUBU, and other brand names in good condition for a fraction of the price.

The one thing I don't buy there is shoes. To me shoes have to be new.

My babysitter has 3 girls so she always gives my daughter clothes.. I also go to Goodwill stores for the kids.. Most of the time you can find some good things in there.. Kids grow so fast that many times the clothes look brand new..

We have one here in Columbia behind the hospital were all of the doctors and their spouses bring their stuff.. They're affiliated with it some how.. But they always have nice things in there..

I go look in there often just to see what new stuff they got in.. Some of the things will still have the original tags on them..


And of course.. I take all of our clothes to the Salvation Army.. Just giving back what I've received....

Yes, I have bought clothes from the goodwill for myself.

I have given clothes to others as well as received them from others. I have gotten some pretty good clothes for my kids that way, especially when they were babies.

Yes I have shop there and still will shop there.
I have 3 kids and it can get expensive trying to clothe their buts. Yes I do take hand me downs.

I've blessed others with things that my daughter has outgrown and have definitely taken hand-me-downs. I've tried to into thrift store shopping and just can't seem to find anything.

Sizes 7-12 in clothes....i'd like to give away.

The girl got damn near brand new tennis shoes and dress shoes as well....

I've taken hand-me-downs all my life. . . now, I am giving them to persons less fortunate than I~!! :)

Matter of fact, I just shipped off two boxes the other day. . to a relative in NC. . . I send her all of my daughter's clothes for her little girl. . . since my daughter was born~!! ;)

Yes. I shop at the goodwill and Salvation Army... I need apt. stuff. I also shop there for baby stuff for my siblings...anyone need newborn through 2T? I just gave away some toys and a baby crib. Pooh Bear is 2 and just got his first bed.
