This is a piggy back off the "Marriage Finacial Responsibilities"

Alot of you say that you do as your parents did and that men should cover the bulk for his family.

Ok, fine but what about us single parents...what are example are we showing our kids?

That a single parent can do it as well?

You can do it without the daddy?

I mean, children from single homes only see one parent supporting the household, so how do we teach/show them that a man should be the main provider?

Honestly..what kids see today is momma taking daddy to court to make him pay or force him to spend time with them.

Am i making sense?

It makes perfect sense Tee.

It's hard to teach that especially to boys when they see Mom doing it all.

But what I try to do is enforce to my son that the reason he can't always have everything, or the reason Momma is tired so much, or the reason Momma can't come to every school event during the day is because I'm working alone to support us.

I also tell him that it's not the way God meant it to be because we miss out on things because of it.

I try to put in a lesson about NOT being a single parent himself, as well as that a man should take care of a household all in one.

But you are right it ain't easy.

Then you have young ladies taking care of GROWN - ASS NIGGAS......whY?? WHY???..because momma was alone, their was this man that man, 1daddy 2 daddy 3daddy all different....no one stayed....So they vow to hold onto a man any way they can, and if it means taking care of them they do!!!.....or they follow in mommas shoes...

It's a vicious circle.......The best lesson is just to teach our children to be RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL, and SELF-WORTH!!!

and pray it all works out
