those scriptures don't speak OF fundraising; just the mentality we must have when we do it

My church finance committee has cut out all fund raising in favor of 100% tithing. So far we are about at 80% of all members tithing and meeting budget.

I doubt they will ever bring back fund raisers.

i hear a lot that most churches are trying to put faith in tithes. i know my church make budget plus overage every year no matter if we do a fund raiser or not.

it seems my church's ways of pulling in money is different. aside from tithing, it's not fundraising and it's not begging... it's... asking you to provide a spiritual sacrifice the way the Lord leads you. It's quite interesting and not far fetch in reality. i am just thinking of frequency.

I know I have come to find that there are ways to bring money into the church to cover expenses. All i have to do is tell those who are not ashamed to ask for money that we are missing in this area or missing in that area... 2 weeks later, the money is there! lol... whew boy!

anyways, i am gonna introduce a new fundraising effort in a months time. i'll let you all know how successful it becomes when it's over and done. i believe it will be a hit!
