Personally, I don't like men in a lot of flashy jewelry but if you did try to get them something nice and conservative they'd think it was too effeminate to wear. . .that's part of the the problem, getting something that isn't overwhelmed by the band.

When I got married, I gave my ex husband the matching ring that went with my ring....he tried to complain and said it was too "girly man" for him to wear.....I told him that if he expected me to wear my ring, that he would wear his.

If my husband had his ear pierced I would buy him a small diamond stud, or maybe a watch with a diamond in it. Other than that, I would upgrade his wedding band with a nice row of diamonds.

If you feel that way about the guy and you can afford it, why the hell not. On the ohter hand if you don't have a man that caliber then I guess the thought would never run threw your mind.

No I would not. Only two people I would give diamonds to and that's my mother and myself.
