Are they stopping all cross-country non-stop flights now???? I got an email today from hotwire.com, advising me that our non-stop flight from San Diego to Atlanta , now has an hour layover in Detroit. We actually have a 20min earlier takeoff time, but we will get to Atlanta about 30 mins later. Has anyone elses pre-planned vacation plans been affected????

I think the depends where you coming from. I booked a flight for one of our speakers from Hobby to Nat'l and it's straight through coming but going back to Hobby he has a lay-over.

I mean, what difference does it make? The important thing is that it doesn't make it's stop into the side of a building. Everyone is trying to show they are making efforts to be more cautious, and all it does is heighten the tension.

 It makes a difference to me. I am not particularly fond of chillin in an airport for an hour or more:rolleyes: But that's just me. It was NOT a tread to complain about the layover:rolleyes: I was just asking if anyone has been affected.
Tee,
Where is Hobby??????? Is that short for something else?

It's a hotwire.com issue.
I have a friend who flies cross-country (SC to Cali) with them several times per year and she says she always has changes to her original flight and unexpected layovers.
She says that it's one of the drawbacks of the good prices at hotwire.com.

I don't think it would bother me that much. I don't like being airborne for long periods without one layover actually.
I had one layover coming fro/going to CA. I had a layover in ATL going to PR but I flew back non-stop and that just about rattled me. I can't sit for more than 2 hours comfortably so 4 hours just about plucked my nerves.
That long flight to Greece is what keeps me putting it off. . .but I know I gotta do the 10-12 or whatever hours it is if I intend to go there. I was in the process of gradually stepping up my flight time for this purpose.
